All these and more add up to a monthly community event which residents\, visitors and stallholders alike say is absolutely their favourite market – the very best. \nWith the village streets closed to traffic\, on the first Sunday of every month (except January)\, around 45 independent traders set up their stalls\, many of them award-winning and all of them loving what they sell\, whether it’s craft beer or charcuterie\, hand-knits or herbal infusions\, perfect pies or pottery… And with great street food on hand the market has become quite the place to hang out for lunch\, listening to the bands in the sunshine-yellow music marquee and meeting friends and neighbours. \nTwo-thirds of the stallholders sell food and most are there every month while the craft stalls tend to be more occasional.
