Looking for a unique gift for dad this Father’s Day? How about a fun experience to bond with the kids in nature? Habitats and Heritage is running workshops in a beautiful location to build ‘bug hotels’ for your garden.
This is the gift that will keep on giving – to the family, the grateful insects who will inhabit your hotel, and to the planet.
The 90-minute experience will include:
A fun nature hunt in the stunning grounds of the secret chapel on Richmond Hill, with a list of interesting materials to find to ‘furnish’ your bug hotel.
A kid-friendly talk explaining the importance of attracting bees, butterflies and other insects to your garden, and the huge benefits they bring to nature.
An easy-to-follow demonstration to build your own unique bug hotel, which you can take home and hang in the garden.
Not all families have dads, of course (and some have two) so this bonding experience is also open to grandads, uncles, stepdads and father figures of any description.
