Mother Nature Science Holiday Camps

Mother Nature Science is here to help children have fun with science! Their safe, fun and educational science activity school holiday camps are perfect for children aged 5-12yrs. They’re the ultimate mix of indoor and outdoor science experiments and activities that will unleash your child’s inner-scientist! There are camps available throughout London, with local camps taking place in Richmond and Twickenham.

Mother Nature Science’s week-long curriculum-linked STEM activity camp programmes are an inspiring blend of exploration, experimentation and discovery, with camps taking place at premium school venues including King’s House School in Richmond and The Mall School in Twickenham (other SW London venues include Wimbledon, Fulham, Surbiton and Chelsea). These science activity school holiday camps run every half-term and school holiday except for Christmas. Childcare vouchers are accepted.

The main objective of Mother Nature Science’s camps is to provide fun, educational, exciting activities for children. The camps are like a super-fun science class, engaging and inspiring children to develop a lifelong love of science. There are hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations and experiments, team games and fun quizzes. The camp leaders start off by introducing a topic; then there are fun demonstrations and experiments; then hands-on activities where the children make something to take home. Parents also receive a handout which describes exactly what has been covered in each session – with further ideas to explore at home.

What’s more, the camps are not all about the science activities. As well as four indoor science activity sessions across chemistry, biology and physics, children enjoy three active outdoor playground breaks per day. These include activities such as football, hoola-hoops, tennis, skipping-ropes, bubble-guns, parachutes, stomp rockets and more!

Mother Nature Science is a great believer in their mixed-age dynamic for their camps. Camps are available to children aged 5-12yrs (in reality most are 5-8yrs), and they work on science projects as a team as well as individually. It’s all about developing teamwork skills as they learn together, and it works really well because it gives extra responsibility to older children and helps stretch younger children.

Mother Nature’s science activity school holiday camps take place at King’s House School, 68 King’s Road, Richmond TW10 6ES and The Mall School, 185 Hampton Road, Twickenham TW2 5NQ (as well as elsewhere in London). The standard timings are from 9.00am-3.30pm, with extended hours available from 8.30am-4.00pm. You can book via Mother Nature Science’s website.

The camps are designed to be a week-long educational programme for maximum benefit to your child, and booking a full week is the most cost-effective way to go. However, there are a limited amount of individual days available, which are booked at a premium rate.

Mother Nature Science also runs birthday parties that fuse the most amazing astronomy, cool chemistry and powerful physics with mind-expanding exciting results and a whole load of fun! These can take place outdoors, indoors, in homes, or wherever you choose, and there is a variety of cool themes available with lots of awesome bolt-ons.
