Absolute Childcare is a Richmond-based consultancy, focussing on helping professional families find high-calibre, experienced and locally-based private staff. They can assist with nannies, housekeepers, house managers, maternity nurses and mothers helps – whether on a live out, live in, full time or part time basis.
Founded in 2004 and managed by Sandy O’Neill (NNEB), Absolute Childcare has a small well-connected team who are passionate about finding fantastic and fulfilling opportunities for the best nannies, housekeepers, and private staff and, in turn, the best staff for their clients.

Recruiting a member of staff to join your family is so much more than reading a CV. Absolute Childcare takes real pride in getting to know the household staff they represent and their clients – this includes their personalities, goals, aspirations, ‘must haves’ and ‘absolutely nots’… along with many more factors such as driving ability, availability, allergies, salary expectations, cooking abilities, bike riding skills, Lego building capabilities… the list goes on! In a nutshell, they will listen and not waste your time with unsuitable matches, as the details really do matter.
They always aim for longevity in their placements and won’t waste your time with unsuitable applicants. The search goes both ways, ensuring the applicants are happy with the role and the families are happy with the applicant. This selection is done through sourcing potential applicants from staff already on their books and through niche advertising. Absolute Childcare then hand-pick the best people for your role. No filtering of CVs will be required by the client, as only the very best applicants that match your brief will be presented to you. On average, a successful match is made based on just three to five high calibre introductions. Absolute Childcare only represent experienced professionals and, as such, they ask for a minimum of three years’ professional experience with supporting references, but the majority of their staff will have much more.
