The Fallow Deer
Now all grown up in its bigger premises on Teddington High Street, The Fallow Deer is a fantastic place to hang out for coffee, lunch, or afternoon tea. It also now has a licence, so you can treat yourself to a glass of bubbly with your cake – and why not! The Fallow Deer’s exposed brickwork give it a cool warehouse vibe, but the touches of vintage design make it homely and welcoming at the same time. There is also a courtyard garden at the back, meaning you can soak up some rays and fresh air whilst enjoying whatever it is that’s taken your fancy! The food and drink has an emphasis on ‘local’, with all produce sourced from the surrounding area, and all menu items are made fresh in-house daily by The Fallow Deer’s talented chefs.
And what a deliciously tempting menu it is too, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, as well as sweet and savoury snacks throughout the day and afternoon cream teas. For breakfast and brunch you’ll find everything from toast through to muesli, rarebit, eggs done in a multitude of ways, and a delicious full English; for lunchtime the menu offers an array of tempting salads, boards, sandwiches and burgers; and for afternoon tea there are three tiers of mouth-watering loveliness (for two) to share, including finger sandwiches, scones, scrumptious cakes and tea.
The Fallow Deer can be found at 130 High Street, Teddington TW11 8JB, and is open 8.00am-6.00pm Monday-Saturday, and 9.00am-5.00pm on Sundays. They are also often open for cocktails on a Friday evening and sometimes hold other special events, including their popular Supper Club, so it’s well worth following them on Twitter for the latest news.
