The Richmond Doula & Hypnobirthing (Rosie Gray)

The Richmond Doula – Rosie Gray – offers KG Hypnobirthing Courses in Twickenham and surrounding areas. A KG Hypnobirthing course will give you and your partner the knowledge and the tools to have a truly positive birth experience, as well as giving your baby the best possible start in life.

During Rosie’s course, you will learn to rebuild trust and confidence in your body’s ability to birth, by understanding that ‘birth’ is not a medical emergency, but a very natural process. A woman who is free from fear and feels safe and unobserved will produce oxytocin and endorphins freely, paving the way for a gentle, calm and empowering birth. Rosie will show you how to release that fear through breathing techniques, deep relaxation and visualisations, as well as using the power of the mind and positive affirmations.

Within this hypnobirthing course, Rosie also weaves in her extensive experience as a birth doula, having attended over a hundred births. She will provide you with considerable practical information based on this experience. Rosie regularly support births at West Mid, Kingston, Chelsea & Westminster and Queen Charlotte’s (as well as home births), so can help you to prepare for birth at your specific hospital. She can also show your partner how to practically support you in labour – there are plenty of amazing techniques and tips, well-honed through years of experience! By the end of the course you will both be fully confident and relaxed as you approach the birth of your baby.

You will receive the Hypnobirthing book by Katherine Graves, a folder of handouts to guide your practice at home, and a relaxation CD / MP3 download. Rosie will also provide ongoing support on the end of the phone, if you would like it, right up until the birth of your baby.

Rosie runs weekend courses at Earthlife in Kew, and evening courses (over three weeks) at The Maris Practice in Twickenham, as well as one-to-one classes. She also offers free hypnobirthing taster sessions at Mothercare in Kew.
