Watermans

Watermans is a wonderful venue just up the road in Brentford. It’s an arts centre with an independent cinema, theatre, gallery and spaces for the community to use, and is a spacious and welcoming place for families. Top tip: there’s also a playground in the park next door to run off some steam if that’s required!

Watermans puts on children’s theatre every Sunday (Sept-May) and half term, as well as occasional specials in the holidays. Shows range from toddlers, right through to around 10/11 years, and there are even occasional shows especially for babies, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out. Watermans has been running this programme for over 30 years, so there’s a wealth of experience there, and events are really high quality with European companies and exciting new productions often featuring.

Their Family Cinema runs kids films on Saturdays and in the holidays, where all tickets are just £5.00. The cinema also runs Parent & Baby screenings every Wednesday morning, so you can enjoy current releases with babies up to one year old going free. Watermans runs Wednesday morning music classes for toddlers, and creative workshops during half terms and summer holidays covering anything from visual arts to dance to digital arts and coding.

If you’re looking for a great children’s party, then Watermans can also help. You can make a group booking to any of their children’s theatre or film shows, and hold a party either in the restaurant area or in a private studio. The in-house restaurant The Guru will take care of all the food and drink, so all you have to do is bring a cake!
