Easter Family Activities & Events 2025
Hooray, it’s nearly the holidays again! With Easter just around the corner, we’ve pulled together a listing of the goings on in the area that families can enjoy together. 18th – 21st April,: Easter Family Trail at Chiswick House.
- Hop, skip & jump through the gardens over the Easter bank holiday weekend with a family trail. Chiswick House is delighted to be partnering with Love Cocoa for a weekend of family fun. Pick up your trail booklet from the Kitchen Garden and start your adventure through the grounds. Follow the map to find the mega eggs, answer the questions and unscramble the code. All adventurers receive a Love Cocoa chocolate prize at the end. Normal admission applies plus £3.00/trail.
5th – 21st April: Easter Egg Hunt at Ham House.
- This spring, treat the whole family to a world of adventure on an Easter trail. Make your way along the trail inspired by the English Civil Wars and enjoy activities for the whole family. Discover ten game stations and find out if your team will save Ham House! Trail includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg. Normal admission also applies plus £3.50/trail.
17th – 22nd April: Funfair on Hampton Court Green.
- This superb festival of fun has been open on Hampton Court Green, opposite the beautiful and historic Palace, for over 170 years. Lots of rides for the whole family to enjoy! 10 ride tokens cost £10.00, and no. of tokens required will vary per ride. Rides are half price on the 17th & 22nd April.
29th March – 21st April: Easter Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace.
- The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt is making a triumphant return by popular demand this Easter. Embark on a captivating adventure as you explore the iconic gardens and discover the remarkable individuals who left their mark on Henry VIII’s home. Roam through lush gardens, keeping your eyes peeled for elusive Lindt Gold Bunny statues peeking out from colourful daffodils or early buds from the Tulip Festival. Follow the trail and match the names of influential characters to the distinctive red ribbons adorning every adorable statue. Think you’ve found all the Lindt Gold Bunny statues? Your quest will be rewarded with a delicious Lindt Gold Bunny chocolate treat! The Magic Garden will also be open. Normal admission applies.
- No special half-term events listed at time of writing, but Hounslow Urban Farm is always a treat to visit with the little ones. Stroll around the pens with goats, pigs, donkeys, llamas, peacocks and owls, and you can even feed some of the animals. There are also animal encounters throughout the day, where you can meet and handle small mammals, reptiles and more. They usually put on some special activities during school holidays too. You can buy tickets at the farm or online.
5th – 21st April: Supertato at Kew Gardens.
- Get ready for a spud-tastic family day out with Supertato and his heroic veggie friends! Based on the bestselling books by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, this fun-filled event invites kids to join Supertato’s Super Squad, thwart the Evil Pea and save veggies in distress. From discovering how fruits and veggies grow to exploring their shapes and colours, kids will enjoy hands-on activities while tackling fun challenges. Don’t miss the dressing-up zone to snap a photo with Supertato and his friends. Why not add to the fun by coming to Kew dressed up as your favourite vegetable? Packed with music, movement and silliness, Supertato at Kew will be the perfect mix of adventure and education. Normal admission applies.
London Museum Of Water And Steam (Brentford)
5th – 21st April: Hunt The Green Dragon Eggs at the London Museum Of Water & Steam.
- This Easter the Museum is hosting an egg hunt like no other… The dragon that dwells on Green Dragon Lane has hidden all her eggs around the Museum for safekeeping. But she hid them too well! Can you follow the trail and find all the eggs before they hatch? Complete the hunt and claim a special Easter prize at the end. There are also lots of family-friendly activities happening every day! After the hunt, hop over to the Splash Zone for some water-filled fun. Get busy with dragon-themed and Easter crafting in the Waterworks Gallery. Take your mythical soft toy (dragons, unicorns or fairies) with family storytelling on weekdays at 11.00am. Normal admission applies plus £3.00/trail.
London Wetland Centre (Barnes)
5th – 21st April: Lloyd Of The Flies Wetland Bug Hunt at the London Wetland Centre.
- Enjoy a jam-packed programme of nature inspired activities for the whole family. Taking centre stage, Aardman presents the Lloyd of the Flies Wetland Bug Hunt! Dive into the wonderful world of wetland insects with Lloyd and his new friend Dart the dragonfly. Follow the trail to help Lloyd and Dart find Lloyd’s friends and family and make their way to the bug hotel. Use the augmented reality trail app produced by Aardman to shrink down to fly size and see the world through insects’ eyes. As well as taking part in the trail, visitors this Easter can enjoy pond dipping, a mini beast hunt, daily otter talks, and interactive touch table (various times apply). Normal admission applies.
5th – 21st April: Easter Egg Hunt at Osterley Park.
- This spring, a friendly bunch of animals has escaped from the Tapestry Room and are now running about in the gardens! See if you can catch them and return them to the beautiful tapestries. Make your way along the trail and find art and nature inspired activities for the whole family. The trail includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg. Normal admission applies plus £3.50/trail.
- No special events, but the garden is free to visit and a lovely space for family picnics and relaxing; plus the house is well worth a look around for its architecture and interiors (both open Saturdays-Wednesdays). Visiting information can be found here.
- No special events listed at time of writing, but a lovely place for a walk around the lake and a visit to the Great Conservatory (open Wednesdays-Sundays), with the beautiful house open Sundays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. Visiting information can be found here.
