Nursery Directory – South Of The River

Choosing a nursery for the first time can be a bit of a minefield! The type of nursery you need will depend on how old your child is and the reason you’re looking for a nursery in the first place, e.g. do you need full daytime care because you’re going back to work, or are you looking for a part-time option for your child to socialise with other children and/or prepare for school?

With this in mind, we’ve split our ‘South Of The River’ nursery directory by postcode (covering SW13, SW14, TW9 & TW10) and within each postcode have created three broad categories: Day Nurseries, Term-Time Nurseries and Primary School Nurseries. Day Nurseries care for babies (generally 3-6 months) up to school age; Term-Time Nurseries tend to take children from about 2 years up to school age, but their days are shorter and they are only open during term-time; Primary School Nurseries take children from 3 years up to school age, generally on a morning or afternoon basis during term-time only, and are also linked to a particular primary school (although a place in the nursery doesn’t always guarantee your child a place in the school).

This is very much a starting point for your search, and we hope you find it useful. Most of the information is taken from the nurseries’ websites, and we’ve also included a few testimonials to give a better flavour of what the nurseries are like. However, it probably goes without saying that it’s very difficult to get a proper feel for a nursery without visiting them in person. If you’d like to add anything yourself, please do use the Comments section at the bottom of the directory, or email sara@richmondtwickenhamfamilyhub.com. We really appreciate any feedback!
