Stagecoach Twickenham & Teddington

Stagecoach Twickenham & Teddington offer fun, engaging, and exciting Performing Arts classes for 4 to 18 year olds, with children split by age into small groups. No two lessons are the same as students enjoy experiencing a wide variety of performance skills and styles in Dance, Drama & Singing.

Stagecoach is an incredible club to be a part of. Students make friends, build confidence, and work on shows for friends and family, with opportunities to perform in the West End and in local theatres. Every child is encouraged to be the best version of themselves in a creative, happy environment. They offer Early Stages passport progress books, career opportunities for older students, medals and certificates. Classes are quality controlled via Ofsted and independent annual review.

As well as its classes, Stagecoach offers so much more – including LAMDA exams; opportunities in dance and performance troupes; performing at large events such as at the Rugby or in the West End; plus puppet workshops, stage combat, singing lessons, discounted theatre tickets, the list goes on! Stagecoach has casting links, professional agent links, and is associated with DISNEY and RADA.

There is something for everyone to enjoy and learn. Sarah & Will Chitty (Owner and Principals) work hard to bring as many unique, varied, exciting opportunities and experiences for all who attend:

• EARLY STAGES: (ages 4-6yrs): Children are introduced to the performing arts through a fabulous range of Early Stages singing, dancing and acting classes. In singing classes, children learn new songs and find out about rhythm, timing and how sounds are formed. Dancing classes give kids the confidence to try new dance moves, while acting sessions allow budding young actors to role-play and practise improvisation and storytelling. Weekly classes are held during term time and are split into three 30 minute classes with equal time devoted to singing, dancing and acting. A two week trial costs £25.

• MAIN STAGES: (ages 6-16yrs): Children and teens flourish while improving their singing, dancing and drama skills during weekly Main Stages performing arts classes. Students learn different rhythms, tempos, singing styles and vocal techniques in singing lessons, while dancing classes feature pop, street and musical theatre routines. In acting classes, children enjoy working on role-play, improvisation and performance. Children are split by age into small groups so Stagecoach can give everyone the attention they deserve. A two week trial costs £50. A 50% discount is available for each additional sibling.

• FURTHER STAGES:  (ages 15+yrs): Teenagers with a flair for performing can take their singing, dancing and acting skills to a higher level in Further Stages classes. Through in-depth training and master classes, teenagers are encouraged to hone their skills, working as a small theatre company. They are also prepared for any auditions to theatre and vocational drama schools. Stagecoach welcomes existing and new students who have experience in singing, dancing and acting. A two week trial costs £50.

Stagecoach also runs holiday clubs, where students have fun, develop great new skills, and then join together to showcase their new-found singing, acting and dancing skills to family and friends.
