Windsor Kindergarten

Windsor Kindergarten is a very well-established nursery in the heart of Twickenham, which was set up in 1993 by Sangeeta Gardiner, a mother of two, whose children attended the Kindergarten. Sangeeta is a qualified teacher and has worked as an Early Years Consultant, Childcare Assessor and Ofsted Inspector. The nursery team has worked together for many years and is led by Tanya Webber, who is also a qualified Early Years Teacher.

Windsor Kindergarten operates a term-time day nursery for children aged two to five years, and a breakfast / after-school club for primary school children which collects from all the St Mary’s School sites. They have a number of welcoming rooms on the ground floor for children to enjoy, as well as plenty of outside space – a setting which ensures that ‘every day is an adventure’. Children are are provided with a wide range of age appropriate resources that cover all areas of learning both indoors and outside.

The nursery prides itself on providing a professional, friendly environment where parents can feel happy, relaxed and confident that their children are placed in a caring and secure learning environment. Individual care and attention is made possible by a high ratio of adults to children. Each child is supported by a personal key person who plans an individually tailored curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. The nursery was rated Outstanding in 2016 by Ofsted, who stated that “children benefit from innovative experiences and making outstanding progress in their learning”.

Windsor Kindergarten cam be found at St Mary’s Church Hall, Church Street, Twickenham TW1 3NJ. The hours are flexible and parents can choose from half-day sessions from 9.00am-12.30pm or 12.30-4.00pm, or full day sessions from 9.00am-4.00pm with the option to extend from 8.00am-4.00pm. The breakfast club operates from 8.00am until school drop off, and the after-school club operates from school pick-up to 6.15pm. It is registered to take Childcare Vouchers and accepts Early Education Funding up to 30 hours a week.
